Featured here are examples of design exercises completed per direction from instructors in the Graphic Communications Management program at Toronto Metropolitan University.

This design started off as the word "CALABRIA" in the typeface "Rundfunk" as outlined text. Through manipulation using the Direct Selection tool, it was transformed into a wine bottle.

This exercise explored creating an interesting take on one's initials using basic geometric shapes with the Pen tool.

The above files were designed with the use of specialty inks in mind; Neon yellow ink on the left (yellow areas of the design), and clear ink on the right (cyan areas of the design). Effective layering of digital file, and the use of overprint were explored.
